Spotlights stream new song


Spotlights, the Brooklyn-based husband and wife outfit of Mario and Sarah Quintero, are streaming a new song from their Ipecac Recordings’ debut, Seismic, on Oct. 6. Stream “What Is This? Where Are We? below. “This song is one of our personal favorites on the record,” say band members, Mario and Sarah Quintero. “It encapsulates the overall ‘beauty in destruction’ theme of the album, we were lucky enough to have Aaron Harris (Isis, Palms) play drums on it.” Harris also produced the 11-song album.


Spotlights have spent the summer on the road with the Melvins, joining the venerable band for their 12-week North American tour. The tour continues this evening in Tucson:
